Hi
I have been looking into getting Public and Product liability insurance as recommended in the Demonstrators manual, but I'm finding it difficult to get a good price. Any suggestions?

I looked online but had to phone up as most of the sites didn't have an option for party catalogue selling and demonstrating. I got one quote for £180 including stock insurance (for stock stored at home) - does that sound expensive to you all?

Thanks
Teri

Hi Teri

yes that's very expensive! I got mine for around £69 from a company called Ian W Wallace - they deal specifically with craft insurance. If you google that name you should be able to find their site. I also use this company for my craft club insurance & they've always been very reasonable.

Any more questions let me know

Same here! I use the same company as Michelle. In fact I think she was the one who recomended them to me!

I've given Teri their phone number so hopefully she will be able to contact them. We find that their price and coverage is really good value for money.

As we are now getting into the summer fundraising season it is a great policy to cover our activities.

Hi Teri

Funnily enough I got my renewal notice through the post yesterday so just to confirm I have a policy for £1m public/prod Liability, no need for employers liability & no need for stock cover as that's only really for when you're holding a large stock quantity for things like major craft shows etc (PartiCraft hold the stock for us ;)) & no need for loss of exhibition expenses either.

My total premium due is £69.75 or £6.16 monthly DD.

Hope that helps for when you call them tomorrow

Good luck - let us know how you get on!

Thankyou all,

I got it sorted today, same price as Michelle.
My business cards arrived today as well, so I am pretty much set up! Just looking forward to my first party on Friday.
