Thanks a lot!
We are still quite small at the minute, until others get to know where we are, I have put posters up in places that I am allowed to and also placed a free advert in our local paper.

I wonder if I could bend your ear a little?? I am finding it difficult to get started with the party side of the business and was wondering if you could give me some hints and tips please? Also where would you suggest trying, I have contacted local groups, but no response, people I know around my area who craft, no response. So I thought you might have some refreshing ideas for me to try. I do have 3 fairs booked, but they are not together, one on Bank Holiday Sunday, the other on the last Sunday in June and the last one on the August Bank Holiday Sunday. I have also contacted the Alnwick Garden to see if they are interested in holding a card making class, and I have a meeting with the Events Co-ordinator on Friday.
So please, please, please, if you have anything I can try I would be most grateful

Hi Dianne

How about holding a party at yout own home and inviting all those crafting people you know!! Also ask others who don't really do a lot of crafting because you never know - you may convert them!!! Just an idea. It may then lead to a few more party bookings. It isn't easy at the moment, but don't give up. I'm sure things will soon start moving!

Let us know how you get on.

Hi Dianne, as Lynne says try having a party at home and invite the crafters that you know, also when club gets started try asking them to hold a party, or have a party at club, I did this when I first started and find now the club members come back for more orders. Good luck. Mo x

Hi Everyone
Thanks for the useful information, will definitely give it a go!
Our club is still very small at the minute and I have taken my kit in already and we have made a card using some of the products, I did leave brochures for them to take home with them, as we meet every week that was no problem, but none were picked up.
So will keep trying them every now and then, otherwise I can see them getting a bit tired of me taking the kit in every week. So gently does it, I think!
Thanks again peeps

What I do at our craft club is to put out a small table with all the samples that we have made, this raises interest in people and they say 'how do you do that?'. This has not lead to a party yet but it has raised interest in various products - a painter has shown an interest in using distress inks as a medium for his pictures and his daughter has shown an interest as she is going to be doing a degree in art later this year.
