Got up at 4.30 this morning to find all the doors leading to the garden wide open. We'd had a break in. Luckily they only took Steve's wallet, car and house keys and phone. Think I must have disturbed them...bet they didn't think anyone would be up at that time of the morning! Spent a merry day with the police, phoning the bank and trying to get a new key for the car which is going to take 2-3 days. Wouldn't be so bad but my car is parked behind Steve's on the drive so can't use it! Oh well, could have been worse!

Oh no Pam. That is awfull. You must be so upset and angry. I know how I felt when I had my purse stolen on holiday many years ago. The thought of someone breaking in and rummaging through your things is unbearable. What is this world coming to?!!!

I do hope you soon get things sorted and back to normal.
Thinking of you.
Love

Thanks guys, gradually getting things sorted out. We've changed the front door lock and boxed my husband's car in with my daughters! At least I feel I can go to bed tonight and not have to stay on patrol!

Hi Pam, so sorry to hear of your break in. I was burgled twice in a previous house, once whilst I was at my parents house and the second time when we were in America on holiday. Its a dreadful feeling knowing someones invaded your home without permission - we moved eventually, it wasnt 'home' anymore, they even took our washing machine, tumble drier, kettle, mugs, phones the lot!!!!!!! Take care and fingers crossed they find the scum that did this.

Thanks for your kind words. It wasn't too bad, I've been burgaled before! Last time was much worse, they trashed the house. At least these were very neat and tidy scum!

Hi Pam,

I'm SO sorry to hear your news! I really hope you're managing to sort things out, and that the police manage to find out who did this to you. I've never had this happen to me, but I did have my car broken into once, and I know how much of a violation that felt like - it must be horrible when it's your home that has been broken into.

I'm conscious of not being able to do anything to help, but we are all thinking of you, and at least you can let off steam on here..

Do take care

Becki
