This is just how versatile the good ole tidy tray can be :D
After a couple of days of smelling what I call "bad water" I came upon the source. Our water tank in the airing cupboard had sprung a leak, soaking the wood, the carpet, all the stored linen and towels - all wrecked!!
The offending leaking could be seen right underneath the tank with not enough clearance to get a bowl underneath so, I think, a stroke of genius, I attached a peice of pipe over the hole of the tidy tray, sealed it with waterproof tape, trailed it out of the cupboard into a bucket - works brilliantly!! unlike our insurance company which is another story (don't get me started on that one)
Traci suggested getting a photo but it's a bit gloomy in the cupboard at present.
Just goes to show think outside the box

I am loving that! Has anyone else got any stories of using their crafty products for alternative uses? If so we would love to hear about it :)

Lyn, could have done with that suggestion a week ago when our boiler had to be emptied due to the water heater having to be changed, and the drain tap had siezed up. We ended up using jugs and a washing up bowl, it took us approximately 5 hours as the tank is a double one. Mo x

Dont get me started on insurance companies! I got hit by a driving instructor last Tuesday, no learner just the instructor, who accepted full blame for the accident (he hit me from behind), and the insurance company have just got in touch with me this evening to tell me they are writing off my car and only giving me £450 in which to buy a replacement! How the hell do they expect me to buy a car and insure it for that???

Grrr!!

Hi Lyn

I was doing a demo today and one lady was intrigued by my tidy tray. She looked at it for a while and then exclaimed triumphantly "I could use that for putting breadcrumbs in and then pour them onto the fish - it would save a lot of mess!" She didn't even order one!!!
