We've set the date!!!!

Woohoo - we've set the date for our wedding!!! We had always wanted to marry in May, and now we've secured the 29th May 2009. Can't wait!!!! Alan served his registry notice last week, and he's taking me into the registry office in Peterborough tomorrow, so I can do the same.

Bet you can see us smiling from there!!! :D

Thanks everyone! Just shown Alan all your replies, and we're both really touched :). We'll keep you posted as the preparations move on.

Lynne, to start off we'll no doubt live in my house, because now is not the best time to be selling. As soon as we can, though, we'll be moving closer to Ipswich, which is where Alan works.

Hee hee - can't wait to go dress shopping!!!!

No, not a big wedding, Maria. Registry office then a buffet afterwards, we think. Since my Mum and Dad live in France we are thinking of going over there to have a blessing service, so our French friends can join in. And that way, I get to wear my frock twice!

Sarah-Jane, we'll certainly do what we can about cake. Does it have to be a fruit cake for a wedding, or can we have a great big gloopy chocolate one??

And Lyn - you're right. Excited doesn't even BEGIN to cover it! Jumping up and down all the time with big grins on our faces. Which with M.E. and a sprained ankle means a lot of sitting down afterwards!! :D
