PartiCraft Demonstrator - Maria Holder, Reading Berkshire
My passion for card making, scrap booking, in general all things paper craft, has brought me here and in such a short space of time, I am so enjoying the whole experience of being part of Particraft, meeting some great, talented and truly inspiring people. I have been into arts and crafts for as long as I can remember, be it paper crafting or dressmaking. Up until now it has been but an occasional “hobby”, making cards etc., only when needed and if time allowed. However, 3 years ago after the birth of my son I started working from home, giving me more time to take my “hobby” more seriously, and over these past 3 years it has grown and developed, running workshops and teaching small groups. Early this year I went along to a Make It show in Farnborough where I first heard of Particraft, I called them and in April I had taken the plunge and become a demonstrator. My true passion in this industry is teaching others, introducing them to the world of crafts and all the new and exciting techniques that are forever evolving and showing people how they can take what they learn, and make something truly special, be it a card, a wedding invitation a scrapbook page, altered book etc. I really love to see the smile on someone’s face when they realize they can do it too! and the great thing is that I never stop learning either! - My goal is to inspire others, my creativity and enthusiasm pushes me to learn new techniques and apply them to my work, I thrive on challenge and am finally doing what I love to do!
